This piece is inspired by recent news reports on the "male loneliness epidemic". The lid of the tray is reminiscent of a hamster's cage with water bottle feeder. Inside the tray, a man with a backwards baseball cap sits casually with a key in his lap. The candle is representative of the light source from women who uphold men's emotional needs and caretaking responsibilities of men who are "lonely".
